Introducing to you: our new colleague Niels

Niels van der Spijk is joining our chemsex team. He has previously worked with LGBTI asylum seekers and refugees, among others. Let us introduce him to you.

Mainline wants to reach migrants even better, and Niels hopes to contribute to this. ‘Through meetings, conversations with the target group, building networks, research and sharing knowledge about chemsex, I hope to motivate the target group to make choices that suit them,’ says Niels van der Spijk.

‘I am happy to be working for an organisation that has built up years of knowledge about experiences in the chemsex scene, enabling us to assist people in an open-minded and accessible way. I hope that we can reduce the stigma and taboos surrounding chemsex and contribute to better mental health in our community.’

In addition to his work for Mainline, Niels volunteers at the Hortus Botanicus and works at a film theatre. We are delighted to have him on board.
