Slamming is injecting drugs before or during sex. In this brochure you’ll find practical information about slamming techniques safer use, psychoses and how to manage the come down.
In certain sections of the gay community, slamming is becoming more and more popular. Chems are being injected before or during sex sessions. The rush of slamming is euphoric and sexually stimulating. All inhibition is lost and sex lasts longer. Chems increase self-confidence, concentration and energy levels. But slamming can also be risky.
All information is collected in interviews with regular slammers who know the risks and pitfalls involved.

The use of drugs and alcohol during work can cause feelings to recede into the background. You dare to do more, have fewer sexual inhibitions, and can have sex for a longer period of time. Sometimes clients will pay more if you take drugs together with the clients. But having sex under the influence of drugs can also make you more likely to have unsafe sex. Or offer services that you would not offer if you were sober. This folder provides more information on drugs, their effects on sex work, and how you can minimize the risks.
