Outreach strategy development in Kyrgyzstan

Mainline will work together with AFEW Kyrgyzstan in developing a new online and on-site outreach strategy to reach people who use new psychoactive substances, such as alpha. This designer drug is very popular in Kyrgyzstan and is commonly injected.

Outreach to people who use NPS

Mainline will develop a training program for AFEW to work with people who use NPS. Traditional harm reduction doesn’t always offer interventions that fit the needs of people who use these new psychoactive substances.

Mainline works with the team to help strategize what outreach methods work best to make first contact and to build trustful relationships. Outreach will be done both online and offline. Together, Mainline and AFEW will compile a set of harm reduction interventions that fit the needs of this group of often very young people.
