Brazil continues

After a very successful project together with the Free School of Harm Reduction(Escola Livre de Redução de Danos- ELRD) from Recife, Brazil, and the Latin American and Caribbean Network of People Who Use Drugs (LANPUD), Mainline embarked on a 3-year follow-up project with Escola Livre last September.

While Escola Livre continued and expanded its great harm reduction work focussed on autonomy and social justice, Mainline was struggling to stay afloat. Now that we are closing our doors, we are incredibly relieved to see Escola Livre’s work will not suffer from this. The project will continue, through direct collaboration between Escola Livre and the funder, ViiV Healthcare Positive Action, who also spotlights the work of Escola Livre in its 2025 annual report.
